Christy and Michael Badger-Greer opened the Badger Café and Pub in August of 2007. They combine years of customer service and cooking experience in order to bring the midcoast community fine eats and friendly service.
Mike develops the menus and the nightly specials using recipes he has collected from his twenty-plus years in the restaurant biz. Prior to opening the Badger, he worked for seven years at the Market Basket in Rockport.
Christy bring years of retail managerial experience to the Badger. She supports the waitstaff and is the friendly face you'll see when you walk through the door for dinner, lunch, or brunch.
They both bring a love for microbrews and world beers to their beer menu. Customers will find a long and eclectic list of beers from around the world and just down the road.
The Badger Café and Pub is a proud member of the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association and supports the Humane Society of Knox County with their "Eat for Pete's Sake" annual fundraiser. Please do your part to support these or similar organizations when you can. Thank you!
The Badger Café & Pub occupies a historic buidling (circa 1852) on the Common in the small community of Union, Maine. A wrap around porch was added to the building long before we arrived, allowing for extra room to accomodate folks wishing to enjoy a drink, wait for a table, or play a game of darts. The open floor plan of the dining room and bar is cozy and able to accomodate parties large and small.
We're pretty fond of the place. We think you will be, too.
In addition to bringing a passion for great food and friendly service, our staff is made up of an eclectic group of individuals: we're artists, farmers, musicians, students, teachers, civil servants, health care providers, parents, and friends. As a team we bring decades of culinary expertise and customer service to The Badger.
